Sweden ACTRIS Sweden is actively collaborating with ICOS Sweden and SITES. Co-location of measurement sites are motivated by logistical and financial constraints, but more importantly also from a purely scientific point of view.
At the start of ACTRIS Sweden in 2022, the stations at Hyltemossa, Norunda and Zeppelin on Svalbard were already operational.
Operations at these stations will be extended during the ACTRIS Sweden Implementation Phase 2022-2026. Hyltemossa and Norunda are both ICOS Sweden combined atmosphere and ecosystem stations.
Two new ACTRIS Sweden stations will be made operational:
Svartberget, being the third ICOS Sweden combined atmosphere and ecosystem station and part also of the SITES station networks, (boreal, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Umeå).
Östergarnsholm (ICOS Sweden, oceanic, Uppsala University)
